Drake, Tudor Corsair – by Tony Riches

I love that Tony Riches and I have both ended up in the Elizabethan era at the same time! Well, he is a little ahead of me – he is launching the first book in this trilogy while I am writing the first one in mine – but it feels a little like a party. I love his books, and this looks to be a good one! (You know Tony, right? He wrote the Tudor Trilogy – consisting of Owen , Jasper, and Henry – and also Mary – Tudor Princess and Brandon – Tudor Knight ; he also has a great blog called The Writing Desk and lovely website www.tonyriches.com).

Anyway. Here’s the description:

1564: Devon sailor Francis Drake sets out on a journey of adventure.

Drake learns of routes used to transport Spanish silver and gold, and risks his life in an audacious plan to steal a fortune.

Queen Elizabeth is intrigued by Drake and secretly encourages his piracy. Her unlikely champion becomes a national hero, sailing around the world in the Golden Hind and attacking the Spanish fleet.

King Philip of Spain has enough of Drake’s plunder and orders an armada to threaten the future of England.

Drake – Tudor Corsair continues the story of the Tudors, which began with Owen Tudor in book one of the Tudor trilogy.

Drake, Tudor Corsair is available now through Amazon UKAmazon US , Amazon CA and Amazon AU.

(PS I know I owe you new posts – The Boy King comes out at the end of this month, and I have been completely preoccupied during this pre-order period! I do promise to get back on schedule soon!)
